Course Description
This course introduces you to the know-how required to set up and run a small business.
This includes:
*The basics of choosing the proper business structure
*An understanding of basic accounting principles
*The set-up and operation of a cash book to record income, expenditure and GST
*Preparation of Bank Reconciliation
*Preparation of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet
*Kiwisaver, tax and filing requirements.
Course Fee Subsidy
This course is subsided by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. For sighting purposes, you must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff.
For Non-Resident students, there will be a surcharge of NZD$20.
Please note: All courses need a minimum number of enrolments to proceed. If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel it and will let you know either by email or text. Courses are usually cancelled, when necessary, 2-3 working days prior to the scheduled start date.
