Course Description

During this course, the tutor will take an all-inclusive approach for you to understand your camera' settings and how to bring visual elements together to obtain a great image. This is an enjoyable and informative photography course, with plenty of hands-on learning opportunities.

The sixth session will be held offsite at a professional photography studio in South Auckland. This provides participants with hands-on experience in a professional environment, allowing them to work with industry-standard equipment and studio lighting while gaining practical insights into professional photography practices.

What Will You Gain?

This six-week course will cover:

• Camera fundamentals, including exposure, focus, white balance, handling & maintenance. DSLR and mirrorless cameras. 
• Digital file formats and converters.
• Basic image editing.
• Backing up and storing photos. 
• Composition and creative tools  - using a tripod or other support.
• Evening photography. 

Course Materials

Please bring your DSLR( Digital Single-Lens Reflex) Camera or Mirrorless Camera.

Please note: All courses need a minimum number to go ahead. If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel and will let you know either by email or text. Courses are usually cancelled, when necessary, 2-3 working days prior to the scheduled start date.
