Course Description

After mastering Hiragana and Katakana, take the next step with Kanji!
This beginner-friendly course introduces the fundamentals of Kanji, focusing on characters commonly encountered in everyday life. You will learn the meaning, readings, and proper stroke order for essential Kanji, along with practical vocabulary and conversational phrases useful for travel in Japan.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to recognize and understand Kanji found on signs, menus, and in stores—helping you navigate real-world situations with confidence.

Course Fee Subsidy

This course is subsided by Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff for sighting purposes.

The tuition fee is $100 for Non-Residents.
