Course Description

Discover the joy and practicality of growing your own food in urban spaces. This hands-on course introduces the fundamentals of gardening, from understanding soil health and composting to choosing the right plants for maximum yield. Learn the principles of permaculture and how to apply them to your garden, whether you're working with a backyard, balcony, or community plot.

Course Fee Subsidy

This course is subsided by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. For sighting purposes, you must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff.

For Non-Resident students, there will be a surcharge of NZD$20.

If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel it and will let you know either by email or text. Courses are usually cancelled, when necessary, 2-3 working days prior to the scheduled start date.
