Course Description

Discover the vibrant flavours of Thailand in this hands‑on, three‑evening cooking course. You’ll learn to prepare classic Thai dishes using authentic ingredients, traditional techniques, and balanced flavour profiles. Each session focuses on building practical skills—from mastering curry pastes to perfecting stir‑fries and noodle dishes—so you can confidently recreate Thai favourites at home.

Course Materials

The tutor provides all the ingredients. The cost of these ingredients is included in the course fee. At all three sessions, please bring the following items:

  • One or two sharp vegetable knives
  • A spoon and fork
  • 2 or 3 tea towels
  • A few different-sized containers to take your food home
  • An apron 
  • Pen and paper
  • A smile

Course Fee Subsidy

This course is subsidised by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff for sighting purposes.

For Non- Resident students there will be a surcharge of NZD$20.

Pease note: All courses need a minimum number to go ahead. If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel and will let you know either by email or text. Courses are usually cancelled, when necessary, 2-3 working days prior to the scheduled start date.
