Monica is a qualified New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) teacher and a proud member of the New Zealand Sign Language Teachers Association (NZSLTA) for over 10 years. She also served as the NZSLTA Northern Branch Secretary for five years.

Monica is deeply passionate about teaching sign language to a wide variety of students, fostering their skills, and encouraging them to participate in NZSL events. In addition, she is an active member of the NZSL Governance Board, where she works tirelessly to promote the use and recognition of sign language within education, families, and communities.

Her dedication to advancing NZSL continues to make a positive impact across Aotearoa.
