Born and raised in West Auckland, Linda’s passion for learning inspired her to attend The Hoani Waititi Marae Te Ataarangi program and then she continued to further her studies and attained a teaching diploma from the Teachers Training College in Epsom.  Linda is a trained Kura Kaupapa Teacher, Te Reo me ona tikanga with a Dip teaching – Maori and she has been a Kaiako at Laidlaw College since 2012.

Linda enjoys helping others in the community and sharing her knowledge and far and wide as she can. She has been teaching Adult night classes and weekend workshops at various schools, communities centre and private organisations throughout West Auckland for over 20 year and she has also  previously worked with deaf students for 12 years and can do basic sign language.  Linda creates a warm and friendly atmosphere in all of her classes where students feel safe to learn, practice, ask questions and make mistakes.

Married to Warahi, they have two adult children, three mokopuna and they make teaching and learning an everyday event for the whole whanau.
